I am delighted to welcome our new 3rd and 4th class to my classroom for our new school year. Looking forward to all the exciting things we shall be doing over the year. Here is some of the art work we have been working on over September.
Ms Curran! Over the last few weeks we have been doing lots of great Art activities. From colour wheels of household objects, making our names with items from home to drawing and designing. Take a look at some of our recent Google Classroom Art activities
In our online classroom we have been busy learning about Japan and Japanese legends. We decided to try and write Japanese poetry, a particular poem called Haiku. Have a look at some of our results. As part of our online learning for the month of January we had loads of fun challenges. One of the most successful of these challenges was our Lego Challenge. Here is a short video complied of some of the amazing designs made by the boys and girls of 3rd and 4th class. Well done guys! With Christmas fast approaching, our classroom has started to look a little like a Winter Wonderland. We shall be adding to our winter themed art over the next few weeks, so watch this space!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!
We have finished our project books and they are on their way to the STEPS Engineering Team to be judged. Well done to all the boys and girls who worked so hard on their projects. They are absolutely brilliant and each one of them is a winner in my eyes! We have finally finished our designs and tested our prototypes. Have a look at all our hard work in our presentations about each of our ideas. On Wednesday of last week, we were very excited to have the opportunity to chat to real life engineer and ask him some questions. Our engineer that was assigned to us, was Matthew a masters student in UCD, studying civil engineering. Matthew chatted to us about his work, designs and job. The children had some really good questions for Matthew at the end and were thrilled with his feedback on our prototypes. He said he was blown away by the designs, coding and detailed planning that the children had put into their prototypes.
!For the past few weeks we have been busy planning, collaborating, designing, making and building our prototypes, for our STEPS engineering projects. Have a look at us at work!
