It has been a great start to October in the infant classroom. Our socio-dramatic area is now a fruit and vegetable shop and we are getting to know about plenty of different fruits and vegetables that we never heard of before, we even know some of their names as Gaeilge!
This week we are learning about apples in particular for this week, we are reading two books, 'Ten Apples Up on Top by Dr. Seuss and 'Little Rabbit's Loose Tooth' by Lucy Bate.
Today we did a fun experiment to see if we could stop apples from going brown. We could choose from vinegar, water, milk or lemon juice. Ms. McDermott decided to put nothing in with her apple to see what would happen. Tomorrow when we come in to school in the morning we will see what happens to the apples in our cups.
We made some funny faces using paper plates and we had great fun using the different materials.
Plenty more exciting activities to do before Halloween and we will have some more pictures up very soon.
